The Platoon is fully equipped with P17 and P14 rifles (working as well as deactivated) and an assortment of light and heavy automatic weapons. We are uniformed and equipped to the standard of late 1941-1944 and are fully trained in Standard Military drill of the period.

Earlier credits to the platoon include our participation in the channel 4 documentary "Secret History, Dads Army" and our representation of the home guard for the 1995 Tribute and Promise parade commemorating the 50th anniversay of the end of World War 2.

Our comprehensive stock of uniforms allow us to depict any period in the history of the Local Defence Volunteers and the Home Guard.

The Historic side of the Home Guard is represented by the 23rd Sussex (Hastings and Bexhill) Battallion, to their recent credit is the historical recreations for the book "Uniforms of the Home Guard" published recently by the Historic Military Press of Storrington

If you would like to order one of these books, written by our own Richard Hunt, please go to the contact page for details.
